Day 12 – Mazar-i-Sharif to Kabul

This morning was our flight from Mazar-i-Sharif to Kabul on Kam Air RQ 142, which was delayed by 2 hours! This meant we get extra time at the hotel in Mazar-i-Sharif for breakfast!

After an hour’s flight to Kabul, we stopped by the tomb of King Nadir Shah at Maranjan Hill.

Maranjan Hill, Kabul

The hill itself is historically significant, with archaeological evidence pointing to it being one of the oldest continuously inhabited parts of Kabul.

The site includes the tombs of King Nadir Shah and the royal family, and offers panoramic views of the city.
