Yemen has introduced an e-Visa for foreign visitors starting June 24, 2025. The official website yemenevisa.org allows users to apply for several types of visas online including tourist, business, diplomatic, work, and transit.
Requirements
Requirements vary for each category of visa, from copy of passport (valid for at least 180 days), a return ticket, a health certificate, and supporting documents to a possible invitation letter, admission certificate and/or proof of financial resources.
Payment and Fees
The fees for an e-visa also varies on the category of the visa, and details of fees are not fully available for each category on the website. Although payment of visa fees online is not currently available, as per the website “cash payments in US dollars will be processed through the main center at the Immigration, Passports and Citizenship Department in the interim capital Aden through the temporary host or through the collection of consulates and embassies until the procedures for globally approved electronic payment accounts are completed.”
There is no further information on whether this is applicable at every airport (Sanaa, Aden, Seiyun, etc.) or just Aden airport.
Validity of e-visa
As per the website, it takes about 3 to 5 working days to process the visa and the validity starts from the date of arrival specified in the application. The applicant will be notified by email when the decision is made on the approval of the visa.
