After the gaffe of Apple Maps on iOS, one of the best navigation apps in the market is Waze. Apart from the usual location-based driving directions, Waze allows you to actively report accidents, hazards, police and other events you see on the road, and get road alerts coming up on your route too.

The app released an update today that adds the ability to check the estimated time of arrival of friends, request a pick up from friends, and more. The new features are great if you’re meeting a lot of people in one place, and everyone is using Waze. You can selectively share your location with friends at any time so they can see when you’ll arrive. Additionally, you can also request a pick up from someone and they’ll get your exact location. The update also adds a few minor features, including toll road indication, private messages, and a parking location pin.
