Shopping for gadgets and expensive items is fun when you’re traveling, but they may be subjected to customs in your home country and we always recommend declaring the items and their amounts when you return home.

But how do you keep track of all the items your purchased at the exotic destination? That’s where SimplyDeclare comes in. Just enter the description, date of purchase and amount in the app and keep track of everything you purchased. But before you do that, you need to know the amount allowed in your country for all purchases that may not be applicable for customs.

SimplyDeclare doesn’t provide the allowed-amount-information per country, so make sure to learn about that from your local customs & declaration authorities in your country. It would be nice to have this information, but it can get complicated depending on which country you’re a citizen of and what country (or countries) you’re visiting.

Adding an item is easy where you specify the amount, details and the currency you purchased in. There’s an option to take a picture of the receipt as well. All the items are then listed on a screen that displays both the amounts – foreign currency and your home currency. The app calculates the exchange rate real-time.

Other features include – send the list in PDF format in email, includes about 30 mostly-used currencies (not alphabetically listed).

All in all, this is a great app to create list of all your purchases and helps declare them to customs in your home country.
