Available for only seven cities in U.S. – New York, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Miami, Orlando, and Oahu – at the time of publishing this review, Go Select Passes will turn your phone into a mobile pass to more than 400 museums, attractions, tours and more. By selecting specific tours and/or attractions, you can skip lines and walk straight to the gate. Make sure to check the “Getting in” instructions on the app before actually walking up to the door as some attractions may require you to “check-in” at the ticket counter or local office before you can use the bar-code provided by the app.

One of the many advantages of using this app is that you can use multiple passes on one device; and since there’s no document required (other than your ID), you’re carrying less paper with you. Of course, an optional printing of passes is available too. The app guarantees a savings of up to 40% on specific combinations. It comes with hours of operation, maps and descriptions of the tours or attractions.

Some of the failures of this app are that it is very slow and seems to be a browser-based app that makes it slower to navigate. Another one is that you must have at least two attractions in your cart to be able to purchase them. Currently, they don’t allow one ‘item’ in your cart, even if it’s for two persons.

Send your comments if you have used this app for your travels. We’d love to hear from you!
