Couchsurfing – iOS app review

Bang for buck: It’s free!

The looks:

We all know Couchsurfing and now they have an app for iOS. The only real use for this app is to search for couches and make a request. There are basically four sections to this app – couch requests, search, your profile and settings.

Couch requests – you can look at incoming requests from surfers and also the ones you requested. Once a request comes in, you can do the functions (yes, no, maybe) and send your comments. There’s a filter to see all ‘yes’, ‘no’ or ‘maybe’ incoming requests.

Search – This is the only useful tool in the app. You can choose a person from the results and place a request.

Your profile – You can see your profile, but cannot edit it. Not much use of the app here, especially if you want to change anything or upload pictures.

Settings – This, for now, is an absolutely useless screen!
