City Maps 2Go Pro Offline Maps – iOS app review
Bang for buck:
Ease of use:
Having offline maps for the places you visit is awesome, especially considering the terrible international data rates. This pro version of City Maps 2Go, provided by Ulmon city guides, helps you navigate that city without consuming any data. The app pulls maps and data from OpenStreetMap, which is a collaborative open project comparable to Wikipedia.
The app also provides detailed information on places to eat, visit and sights to see. But not all maps are perfect – and that’s one of the downside of this app. Some maps don’t provide all street names and not all of them are in English. For example, downloading the map of Tunis, Tunisia displays streets without names and the ones that do have names are in Arabic.
You can pin certain points of interest as favorites and provide pictures of restaurants, sights and other places you visit.
All in all, this is an excellent app well worth the $3 price-tag.
