I arrived at Larnaca airport (LCA) in the morning and walked up to the departures level, out of airport on the ‘bridge’ and turned left to find bus 428 waiting! Jumped on the bus heading to Finikoudes bus stop in the old town. It takes about 45 minutes from here to the old town on bus number 428, and costs 1.50€. Buses run every 30 mins, except weekends and holidays when it run every 1 hour. Check the timings of the buses on their website.
I checked-in to Le Mat Hostel located right next to the Mosque in the heart of Skala neighborhood (Turkish neighborhood), about 5 mins walk from the beach.
Wandered around the old town, grabbed lunch and relaxed for the rest of the day!

![]() Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of museums and galleries were closed to public. The ones that are open mandated masks inside. Most of the restaurants, cafes and bars were open without any restrictions! Since Cyprus allowed vaccinated travelers to visit the country, I did see a lot of tourists, mainly from Europe. Every traveler must fill in an online record of their travels at CyprusFlightPass before entering Cyprus. It takes a few mins to receive the QR code that you’ll need to board the flight from your departure city. See more details in the Planning section. |
