Morning flight from St. Lucia landed at Argyle International airport located in the east of the St. Vincent island, about 14km from the capital city of Kingstown. Our Airbnb host picked us up from the airport and we found ourselves in the town of Brighton in the south rather than Kingstown (where we had booked the Airbnb)! Since the location of the Airbnb was incorrect from what we hoped to be, our host offered to drive us anywhere we wanted to go.
After checking-in, we relaxed for the rest of afternoon, and headed for some great dinner at French Verandah restaurant in the town of Arnos Vale.

Day 9 – Port Elizabeth, Bequia
Highly recommended by bloggers and travelers is a day trip the island of Bequia (pronounced BEK-WAY), that is accessible via a ferry. Our Airbnb host dropped us to Kingstown in St. Vincent island, and after a stamp at the post office on my Postal Stamp Travelogue book, we stopped for a quick breakfast.
The next ferry leaving for Bequia was at 9:30am, that takes 45 minutes and costs USD 10 one way. The sitting deck on the top is huge. And some ferries also have an air-conditioned ‘cafe’ area for passengers to cool off in the hot weather.
The town is very cute and well-known among tourists so expect to find a lot of cruise ship tourists at the town of Port Elizabeth. One of the favorite activity to do is visit Princess Margaret beach for pristine turquoise and warm waters. And that’s what we did!
Spent the rest of the day in waters and had an amazing lunch at a nearby restaurant, before taking the 4:30pm ferry back to St. Vincent island.

Our Airbnb host picked us up from the ferry terminal in Kingstown, and after a quick bite at the local Subway (because everything else was closed), we headed home.

Day 10 – Kingstown
Our flight to the next country was at noon so we had enough time to walk around the capital city of Kingstown and take in some of the sights. We were later driven to the airport for onward to our next and last country on this trip – Grenada.
