Having emergency numbers in the country you’re visiting should be one of the first things on your to-do list. Although you may not be able to make a call to the emergency number depending on the restrictions on your phone carrier plan, it is vital to keep the numbers handy in case you need to reach out to authorities. Travel Safe allows you to access those numbers in about 200 countries, which you can save to your favorites and easily access them.

With location enabled, the app will automatically set the default screen with the numbers of the country you’re in. You can tap the icons to call or text the services. You can also set the country by tapping the globe button in the center and select from over 200 countries. When you make a call to any emergency services your location (in terms of latitude and longitude) is displayed on top of the screen.

Tap the contacts button (fourth from left) to select from your contacts list and save ICE (In Case of Emergency) numbers that authorities can access.

You can set your home screen in a way that helps others to find your phone which will also let authorities know who you are and including ICE number on the screen will help them to reach out to them.

All in all, Travel Safe is helpful in knowing the emergency numbers of the country you’re visiting, but is it worth a dollar? Absolutely! Because for the simple tap of a button to reach out to authorities rather than doing a web-search.
