Bang for buck: It’s free!

Every traveler who has visited or want to visit Amsterdam would probably know about the ‘I Amsterdam’ card that give discounts on various activities, restaurants and museums around the city. They have an app now that allows you to explore this magnificent city with tons of listings on practically everything it has to offer.

The app is free and loaded with information like things to do (museums, restaurants, nightlife), info on escapes from city, festivals, weather and deals. You can even purchase the I Amsterdam card from the app.

Selecting any particular place will give you information, phone number, email address and website of that place, along with a pin on the map. Scroll down to see other attractions around that neighborhood.

As a traveler, we all want free wifi hot-spots and this app does just that! Send postcards to your family and friends from the app (costs extra).

Overall, this is a great resource for everything Amsterdam has to offer, and a must-have app if you ever plan to visit Amsterdam.

Aruba Travel Guide

Cost: Free

Bang for buck: It’s free!
Ease of use:
The looks:

This is the Official Aruba travel guide from the Aruba Tourism Authority and also loaded with information. The app provides the usual information like places to visit or attractions, details about any particular place, but there are two features that stand-out in this app: Offline maps and personal itineraries.

You can create an itinerary of your own – include the hotels are you staying at, and then start with the map of this island nation to build your daily activities, dividing it up by morning, afternoon, evening and night. This is a great feature allowing you to customize your trip to whatever suits your needs based on the time you have in each day.

Augmented reality helps you look at the island areas displayed in real time, and offline maps saves you unnecessary time and data costs.
