There are a lot of currency converter apps in the iOS world that gives basic conversion of selected currencies. But Pocket Travel takes this to a new level, that not only converts currencies, but also adds tips (in case of restaurants or services) or discounts (in case of shopping) to the calculations.

When you start the app for the first time, it will ask you for your home currency and destination currency. If you already are traveling, then turning on the location tracking will automatically set the currency. If you still haven’t started, then you can always set the currency from the main screen by selecting the destination country.

The app automatically sets the exchange rate with your home currency (which you can change in the Options). Enter the amount and you have the option to add tips or discounts in percentage; and Pocket Travel will give the results in home currency indicating how much you’re spending from your pocket.

With a beautiful iOS 7 layout, Pocket Travel allows you to choose the background and share your conversions or calculations on social media (from the options screen). All in all, for basic currency comparison and calculation of costs in the country you’re traveling, Pocket Travel is the best app out there.
