Musical road, Lancaster, California (VIDEO)

August 12, 2013

About one hour’s drive north of Los Angeles, in the city of Lancaster, lies one of four musical roads in the world. The Civic Musical Road is at Avenue G between 30th Street West and 40th Street West. Covering a quarter-mile stretch of road, the Musical Road uses grooves cut into the asphalt to replicate part of the Finale of the William Tell Overture and is only in the far left lane of the westbound side of the road.

Address: 3187 W Ave G, Lancaster, CA

Directions: Follow I-405 North until it merges with I-5 North. Take CA-14 North (Palmdale, Lancaster) and take Avenue G exit. Turn left from the exit and follow the road for about 2 miles to reach the Musical Road on the left lane.
