Seoul taxi
As travelers, we have all been ripped-off by taxi drivers in terms of things getting stolen or higher than usual prices. And now Seoul is taking this to a whole new level by offering a cash reward of 500,000 won ($457) to anyone informing the authorities about taxi drivers who rip off foreign tourists.

There has been previous efforts in curbing the rampant practice, but this takes it further and we think a lot of tourists will step up to contact the city officials about any problems or rip-offs they may encounter.

All you have to do is call an English-language hotline and reporting the driver’s name & ID number, as reported by government officials.

Seoul has around 400 specialized cabs, known as “international taxis,” which are equipped with interpretation services and whose drivers can speak English and Japanese.
