New airline routes on WestJet, Pegasus & US Airways

Turkey-based Pegasus Airlines & Canada-based WestJet Airlines launched new routes; and US Airways will launch new flights to London Heathrow starting March 2013.

Pegasus Airlines launched Dubai – Istanbul flights
Pegasus AirlinesPegasus Airlines has launched scheduled flights between Dubai and Istanbul starting on October 18, every Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Pegasus Airlines was established in Istanbul in 1990, as Turkey’s well-known private airline company and is part of ESAS Holding which is owned by Turkey’s well-known family Sabancy Family.

 
 
 

WestJet Airlines launched Toronto – Port of Spain (Trinidad) flights
WestJetWestJet Airlines, based in Canada, began its new daily service between Toronto and Port of Spain on Friday, November 16, 2012. The service will arrive at the Piarco International Airport at 6:00 am and depart at 7:00 am and provide travelers with additional seats at competitive fares. WestJet joins locally-owned and operated Caribbean Airlines as one of two airlines now servicing the Toronto to Port of Spain route.

 
 

US Airways to start Charlotte, NC – London Heathrow flights
USairwaysUS Airways today announced that service between the airline’s largest hub in Charlotte, N.C. and London’s preferred business airport, Heathrow, will start March 30, 2013. The daily flight will supplement the airline’s existing daily service between its international gateway in Philadelphia and Heathrow and replace its current service between Charlotte and London’s Gatwick Airport, which ends March 29.

US Airways will operate service between Charlotte and London Heathrow with Airbus A330-300 aircraft with seating for 28 in Envoy, the airline’s international business class, and 263 in the main cabin.

** First day of Charlotte-bound flight is March 31, 2013.

The flight will originate in Miami offering customers in South Florida convenient one-stop service to London via the airline’s Charlotte hub.
US Airways recently announced the launch of new service between Charlotte and its second destination in Brazil, Sao Paulo, beginning May 5, 2013.
