Capture Jordan – Photo Contest by Jordan Tourism Board

March 26, 2011

Capture Jordan

The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) has launched a photo contest in multiple languages that will enable both amateur and professional photographers to rediscover Jordan through a new lens. Entries will be accepted for a 3-month period, from March 15, 2011 till June 15, 2011.

There is no limit to the amount of photos submitted. Photos may be in color or black-and-white.

The photo subject must be relevant to Capture Jordan in one of the following contest categories:
– Charming Faces
– Stunning Landscapes
– Historic Monuments
– Enriching Culture
– Magnificent Wildlife

Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, photographic quality, and effectiveness in conveying the beauty and/or unique character of Jordan in each of the contest categories. A JTB panel will judge the entries, and all contest decisions are final. There will be two rounds of the contest. In the first round, judges will select five (5) finalists from each category, taking into consideration the number of votes received from the public and the creativity of the photo. In the second round, the public will get to vote on the finalists and choose first, second, and third place winning photos.

First Prize: 7-day trip in Jordan. Sights to see: Petra, Petra by Night, Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, Amman, Aqaba, Jerash, Umm Qays, Ajlun, and Dana. Included: Transportation within Jordan, all meals, all lodging, all entry fees, and tour guides.
*Please note, prize does not include flights to/from Jordan.
Second Prize: iPad
