Download 13 free Lonely Planet city guide apps for iPhone, iPod and iPad for free through Friday. Normally, they can cost as much as $5.99 each to download. The apps provide information on lodging, shopping, dining, festivals, arts sporting evens, internet availability, local history and more. According to Lonely Planet’s blog post, they are making these available because so many travelers are stranded due to snow storms.

The 13 guides will be free in the iTunes App Store from 6pm PST on Tuesday, February 1st to 6pm PST Friday, February 4th 2011. Here are the cities available for free download:
